Welcome to my den of fallible ramblings on the infallible God. As an exile and pilgrim I hope to shed a little kingdom light through the darkness of this old world, and perhaps challenge and encourage you.
My name is Mark Narankevicius. I’m a pastor at Darby Community Church in a small Florida town. I’m husband to Trina, the most wondrous woman in the world, and new father to William (who is, in my biased opinion, the most adorable kid on the planet). My many loves include theology, reading, writing, early morning runs, coffee, and riding down country roads with the windows down. I’m Reformed Baptist, which means a lot of things, but primarily this: that the grace of the gospel is the unstoppable work of God alone in Christ alone, and the hope of redemption for a world full of rebels.
My prayer is to be a beacon of that grace by proclaiming the reality of the kingdom of Jesus Christ in all its beautiful intricacies: in doctrine, in family, in culture, and in the way we live our ordinary day-to-day. Even the simplest things in life are an amphitheater to proclaim that Jesus reigns.
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)
“The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” (Luke 17:20-21)
